Sector Policing

In Arvada, we believe that community safety is directly tied to how involved citizens are with helping keep it safe. Sector Policing is the City's newest approach to community safety that will enable our officers to become experts on the needs, issues and concerns of the people within the specific areas, or sectors, they serve.

Sectorssector map

Arvada is divided into three sectors:

Adam Sector
Commander Moriarty
Lake Arbor Community Station
8110 Vance Drive
Arvada, CO 80003

Baker Sector
Commander Pinover
8101 Ralston Road
Arvada, CO 80001

Charlie Sector
Commander Foos
West Woods Community Station
6644 Kendrick Drive
Arvada, CO 80007

Dispatch can be reached for any of the stations at 720-898-6900

Each sector has a team that is comprised of one Commander, five Sergeants, two detectives, and 21- 24 officers including School Resource Officers. While much of the day-to-day policing decisions and resource allocations will be made at the sector level by sector command staff, the Chief of Police, Deputy Chief of Operations and Deputy Chief of Patrol will oversee police operations throughout the City.

Citizen Involvement

Sector Policing emphasizes citizen interaction and participation in problem solving. Citizens will get to know the officers who are responsible for patrolling their sectors, and the officers will get to know them too. Our success will be determined just as much by our citizens as it will by changes in crime statistics.

Community Rooms

The West Woods Community Station and Lake Arbor Community Stations have a Community Room available for use by members of the community. The room can accommodate up to 40 people, and is primarily designed to provide public meeting space for Arvada citizens and groups to engage in activities and programs. Please see the attached policy and application for more information
