Due to High Demand, a Third Crime Prevention Class Is Being Offered by Arvada PD

Arvada, Colorado – Due to the overwhelming response at the Spring Crime Prevention class, the Arvada Police are offering an additional session.

Normally offered twice a year, the Crime Prevention Class gives homeowners important tips designed to keep them and their homes safe. Topics covered include reporting a crime, vacation safety tips, protecting your neighborhood and how to be a good witness among others. Each session includes a Q&A session.

The Spring class sold out, and many more are on a waiting list. To ensure everyone who wants to take the class is able to do so, an additional session has been added for Thursday, June 5. The class will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at West Woods Community Station, 6644 Kendrick Dr. There will also be a fall session on Thursday, October 2.

The community room holds 40 people, so those wanting to take the class are encouraged to register early. For more information or to register for either class, call the CRIT team at 720-898-6883.
