2009 Police Week Awards Hosted by Chief Wick (05-13-09)

In honor of National Police Memorial Week, Arvada Police Chief Don Wick hosted an awards ceremony at the Arvada Center, Black Box Theater, on Wednesday, May 13 at 4:00 p.m. Police officers were honored, along with citizens, community groups and three students from Arvada elementary schools at the event.

In recognition of their exemplary actions in extinguishing a house fire in the 6200 block of Ammons Drive. Their quick-thinking efforts ensured the home did not sustain catastrophic damage from the fire.

In recognition of his honesty and integrity in contacting the police about nearly $15,000 in cash you found near 70th and Pierce St. Because of his integrity and honesty, the money was returned to its rightful owner.
