Animal Management Invites the Public to an Open House

Arvada, CO – In celebration of National Tag Day, the Animal Management Unit of the Arvada Police Department is hosting an Open House on Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Visitors can tour the Animal Management Offices and vehicles, as well as meet members of the Animal Management team.

The Foothills Animal Shelter’s mobile unit will also be on-hand to offer low-cost vaccinations and microchips. Cost is $35 per microchip and $15 per vaccine. Vaccinations available are rabies, distemper/parvo DA2PPV, bordetella and bordetella booster and CIV.  The bordetella and CIV vaccines require a booster that is administered 3-4 weeks after the initial vaccine.

For the health of the animal, no more than two vaccines per pet will be administered.

Dog licenses will be available with proof of vaccinations. The annual fee for a spayed/neuter dog is $15. The fee for an unaltered animal is $30.
