The first incident occurred just after
7:00 p.m. at the Starbucks at 6600 Wadsworth Blvd. The second robbery
took place just after 8:45 p.m. at the Starbucks at 8071 Wadsworth Blvd.
In both incidents, an armed male entered
the coffee shops and demanded money from store clerks. No one was hurt
in either incident. A K-9 team was sent to each of the robberies to
conduct a search of the area; however, they were not able to locate
the suspect.
The suspect is described as a white male
in a dark hoodie, wearing what appears to be a ski mask.
Police investigators will work with other law enforcement agencies to see if these incidents are connected with other metro area robberies.
Starbucks Robbery Update
At approximately 5 a.m. Arvada police officers, in cooperation with Lakewood police, arrested two Arvada Starbucks robbery suspects at a Lakewood hotel.
A solid lead from an astute witness near
one of the Arvada Starbucks robberies gave police vital information
leading to the early morning arrests.
A team of Arvada Detectives are following
up on additional leads and working with area law enforcement agencies
to determine if the suspects are responsible for other robberies in
the metro area.
Suspect names and photos are not being released at this time due to the on-going investigations.
