Coyote Talk for West Woods Held January 16, 2010

On Saturday, January 16, 2010, members of the Arvada Animal Management Unit, volunteers from the Colorado Division of Wildlife and the Citizen Police Academy Arvada Alumni were walking and talking with citizens in the West Woods subdivision regarding

• coyote activity,
  
• methods of hazing and
  
• the importance of keeping your dog on a leash at all times. 

They were present from 9 am to noon.  There was also an Animal Management Officer in the West Woods Golf Course parking lot, talking to citizens about the importance of not feeding these animals, and methods to haze the coyotes.
