Departments - Crime Lab

The police department is divided into two divisions:   Field Services and Operations.

Each division is further subdivided into bureaus and units. 

Each of the bureaus and units are comprised of members of the department who perform specific functions necessary for the safety and welfare of the citizens of Arvada.

The Criminalists provide a vital service to the department through crime scene processing on major cases that need careful and methodical photographic, gathering and cataloging of evidentiary items. The criminalists are on call to provide this valuable service at any time of the day or night.
