Investigations

The Criminal Investigations Bureau is comprised of various units, including: Crimes Against Children, Crimes Against Persons, Property Crimes, Domestic Violence, Auto Theft, Vice/Narcotics and a number of other specialty sections.

A Commander currently oversees the Investigations Bureau while four sergeants assign cases and provides assistance to detectives working in the bureau.

In addition to investigating active cases, many of the Arvada Police Department's detectives belong to local organizations to share crime information with other jurisdictions investigating similar crimes.
