Departments - Planning & Research

The police department is divided into two divisions:   Field Services and Operations.

Each division is further subdivided into bureaus and units. 

Each of the bureaus and units are comprised of members of the department who perform specific functions necessary for the safety and welfare of the citizens of Arvada.

This sergeant conducts planning, research and staff inspections at the direction of the Administrative Deputy Chief. More specifically, the sergeant engages in special research projects, studies trends in policing, assists with Department grant management and makes recommendations for improvements or additions in policy and equipment utilized by the department.
