Departments - School Resource Officers

The police department is divided into two divisions:   Field Services and Operations.

Each division is further subdivided into bureaus and units. 

Each of the bureaus and units are comprised of members of the department who perform specific functions necessary for the safety and welfare of the citizens of Arvada.

School Resource Officers (SROs) are assigned to Arvada's three middle schools and four high schools. They serve as a liaison between the police department, the schools and the surrounding community to create safe and secure environments.

The officers work with teachers and administrators to mentor students, provide timely classroom presentations, meet with parents and make business and residential contacts.
