School Resource Officer Chris Gomez - Arvada High School
Officer Chris Gomez comes to Arvada High School with over fifteen years of police experience. As a graduate of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, he began his law enforcement career with the National Park Service working in various National Parks. Officer Gomez obtained his bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Metropolitan State College of Denver
Since coming to the Arvada Police Department in 1996, Chris has worked as a patrol officer, as a Field Training Officer, a Firearms and Taser instructor, and completed a five-year assignment as a School Resource Officer at Arvada Middle School.
Officer Gomez, his wife, and three children are active volunteers in their community and church. Giving back to the community and service are a priority in the Gomez family.
Officer Gomez returns to Arvada Senior High School
In 2011, Officer Chris Gomez became the School Resource Officer at Arvada Senior High School. He brings experience and expertise to his assignment. Officer Gomez works in partnership with the school community to create and maintain a safe and healthy school environment.
Officer Gomez is excited about his return to this assignment. He enjoys working with the students, staff, and faculty. He recognizes the importance of being a mentor and role model. His goal is to help students make good decisions.
