Two Injured in Weekend Traffic Crash
The Arvada Police Department’s Critical
Accident Response Team (CART) was called to the area just after 10:30
a.m. to investigate the accident that involved three vehicles in the
6100 block of Ward Rd.
It’s believed the driver of a Jeep
Liberty, a 60-year-old Arvada man, was traveling southbound on Ward
Road when he crossed into the northbound lanes and side swiped a
Chevrolet
Suburban being driven by a 43-year-old Bailey man. The suspect then
crashed head-on into a GMC Terrain in the southbound lane being driven
by a 49-year-old Westminster woman.
The suspect and the female victim were
transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital Central for treatment. Their
injuries were serious but not life-threatening.
Police believe alcohol may have been
involved in the crash.
Charges are pending against the suspect
as the investigation continues.
