Crime Maps & Statistics

This interactive crime map (see Related Links section) is a resource for general information about criminal activity in the city of Arvada. For definitions of crimes tracked, click here.

The map below is divided into small geographic areas called Reporting Districts (red polygons).

For whatever reporting district you select on the map, a table showing  aggregate crime statistics for that area will be displayed.

How Do I Get Started?

The initial map shows the whole City with all the reporting districts visible. Click the "GET INFO" button and click in one of the reporting district boundaries in order to get a summary of crimes that happened within that boundary.  Another option would be to use the “Address Search” button to search for a street address in order to find a specific spot in the City.

After the search has zoomed to a specific address, you must click on the  Crime Statistics layer in order to make it active again. By using the “GET INFO” button you can retrieve the crime statistics for that area.  Within the results table you will find links to the crime definitions and the Colorado State Patrol Crime Statistics page.

Disclaimer:

These crime statistics represent a snapshot of the number of incidents as recorded at the end of each year.  The numbers do NOT reflect changes to individual cases if the changes were made after the end of the reporting period.

The maps and information provided by this Web site are based on data created by the City of Arvada Police Department.  While the Arvada Police Department have no indication or reason to believe that there are inaccuracies in the information presented, the data is presented "as is" and there is no representation of any kind by the police department, that the data is accurate or is fit for any particular use.
