School Resource Officers

The purpose of the School Resource Officer Program is to dedicate an officer to the needs of the school's community. Currently, there are School Resource Officers (SROs) assigned to Arvada's three middle schools and four high schools.

These officers act as a liaison between the police department, the schools, and the surrounding community. It is their mission to provide a safe and secure environment.

In addition, SROs mentor students, prepare and present timely information in the classroom, as well as meet with parents and teachers. They are often role models for their students, encouraging feelings of self-worth. These School Resource Officers are committed to fostering an environment where students can thrive.
