Drugs
Arvada, along with just about every city in the Denver metro area has seen a rise in the use of methamphetamine in recent years. This powerfully addictive drug has caused criminals to turn to auto theft, identity theft and a myriad of other crimes to buy the substance.
In addition to meth, drugs such as marijuana, cocaine, crack and others are seized in Arvada during the course of any given year.
The West Metro Drug Task Force continues to make a positive impact in reducing drug use and trafficking in Jefferson County. Formed more than a decade ago, the Task Force is comprised of investigators and supervisors from all of the law enforcement agencies in the First Judicial District (Jefferson and Gilpin counties).
Do you want to report drugs or drug use in your neighborhood? You can call 720-898-6750 and offer a tip to investigators.
