The School Resource Officer Program dedicates Arvada police officers to the needs of the school's community. Currently, there are School Resource Officers (SROs) assigned to Arvada's three middle schools and four high schools.

These police officers act as liaisons between the police department, the schools, and the surrounding community. It is their mission to provide a safe and secure environment for our young students, faculty, and parents.

School Resource Officers  

• mentor students,
• prepare and present timely information in the classroom,
• meet with parents and teachers
• act as role models for their students, and
• encourage feelings of self-worth for all students
