Bike Patrol

Just because a patrol car cannot maneuver on the miles of paths in Arvada's parks, it doesn't mean officers can't patrol these areas. Several members of the department routinely incorporate bicycle patrol as part of their regular duties.

Some of the areas the officers can be seen are on the pathways in parks, around golf courses and at special functions such as Harvest Festival and the 4th of July celebration at Lutz Field near 58th and Kipling.

Weather plays a key factor in the officers' ability to use the bicycles, therefore late spring, summer and early fall are the primary seasons for this type of patrol.
