Must Have Kennel License to Advertise
No person can engage in the commercial business of breeding, buying, selling, trading, training or boarding of cats, dogs, or pot-bellied pigs without having obtained a kennel license from the City Clerk. The act of advertising animals for sale constitutes selling for commercial purposes. Additionally, no person can display any animal in a public place for purposes of selling or giving the animal away. (City Ordinance Kennel Licenses Sections 14-221and 14-227.)
