School Resource Officer Don Bass - Arvada Middle School
School Resource Officer Don Bass has worked at the Arvada Police Department since 1988. Most of his experience has been with patrol. He also provides instruction to members of the police department on various topics.
Officer Bass was a D.A.R.E. officer for two years, spending a great amount of time in the classroom. In January of 2005, Officer Bass moved into his current assignment as the School Resource Officer for Arvada Middle School.
In addition to his assigned school, SRO Bass runs an after school program, called "Police Pals." This is a grant-funded program offered at Foster Elementary as well as Russell Elementary schools. The program gives these children an opportunity to experience fingerprinting, report writing, and visits with Animal Management, Motorcycle Officers, and McGruff.
