School Resource Officer Jeff Johnson - Pomona High School
Officer Jeff Johnson began with the Arvada Police Department in 1984. He has worked mostly in the patrol division. Officer Johnson was assigned as a K-9 officer for many years with our agency. In fact, prior to his employment with Arvada Police Department he was in the Air Force from 1975 to 1979, assigned as a K-9 officer. Upon leaving the Air Force, he worked at the Adams County Sheriff's Office as their K-9 instructor. Currently, he maintains his "judge" status and evaluates the K-9 handlers and their dogs for state certification.
Officer Johnson has always had a strong relationship in the community, providing coaching to youth teams. He was assigned as a School Resource Officer at Pomona High School in 2003. His commitment to the school extends far beyond the typical school day. There are many times when School Resource Officers are contacted on their time off and asked to help on a variety of events, to include student-involved traumas. School Resource Officer Johnson has been there for his school regardless of the time of day.
