Recruitment Officer Receives Award
The Lake Arbor Optimist Club named Officer Jim Cantin as Officer of the Year for his superior efforts in leading the recruitment process for the Arvada Police Department.
Officer Cantin facilitated the hiring of 30 police personnel during 2006, 18 of which were police officers, an impressive feat considering this is double the normal workload for the position.
"Jim's performance in 2006 has been truly exceptional. His positive 'can do' attitude and ability to manage widely varying tasks have been an enormous benefit to the department in a time when personnel hiring matters are critical," said Sergeant Aaron Jacks of the Arvada Police Department.
