Find H.E.R.O.E.S. For Arvada Police
Law enforcement agencies across the country are struggling to fill police officer vacancies. While the Arvada Police Department knows “Super Heroes are Real,” they can be hard to find.
The department’s recruitment team has developed a strategy coined “Operation Finding H.E.R.O.E.S.” (Hiring Employees through Recruitment Opportunities Everyone Shares).
One of the strategies focuses on the community’s assistance in helping recruit qualified police candidates to fill current APD vacancies.
“Word of mouth is one of the most successful ways to recruit qualified personnel who will best fit the department and our community”, says Commander Foos. “Our community is invited to learn how to recruit police officers for Arvada by identifying core competencies in police prospects, how to engage them in discussions about community service and refer them to resources within the department for follow up employment opportunities.”
Classes are being held January 30 and February 6 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Anne Campbell Room at City Hall, 8101 Ralston Road, Arvada. Call Officer S. Gaetano at 720-898-6880 to reserve space.
The classes are free, and participants only need to attend one of the sessions.
