The Arvada communication center was notified of a robbery at TCF bank located in the 5500 Block of Colorado State Highway 121 on June 3, 2008, at approximately 11:20 Am. Officers respond to find the suspect, identified as George Ray Kentner DOB/03-29-68, standing outside the bank with the stolen money. Kentner was arrested without incident and indicated he wanted to be arrested. Kentner selected the location based on his desire to be detained in Jefferson County Jail.

Kentner was able to steal $2,000 by passing a note to a teller demanding money. No visible weapon was used, no one was injured but teller was fearful for her life.
