The Arvada Police Department, along with other metro area law enforcement agencies, need the public’s help in identifying a man allegedly responsible for more than a dozen armed robberies since July of last year.

In each case, the suspect enters the business – primarily check cashing stores – visits with the clerk and then leaves the business. He then returns – sometimes within minutes, hours or days - demanding cash from the clerk while displaying a black-colored handgun during the course of the robbery.

Jurisdictions affected by this prolific robber include Arvada, Lakewood, Denver and Westminster. Some of the locations include:

1st American Cash Advance – 8700 Wadsworth Blvd., Tuesday, December 13, 2005 (Arvada)

Payday Loan, 6872 Wadsworth Blvd., Thursday, January 26, 2006.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, around 30-years of age. He’s between 5’ 4" and 5’ 7" tall, "clean cut", short brown or black hair, with a medium build. He speaks both English and Spanish.

Arvada Police Department community resource officers are working with Arvada businesses to share information about this armed robbery suspect.
