Four men in an alleged stolen vehicle were arrested by Arvada police Officers on Monday, January 17, 2005.

Arvada police were called to the 8700 block of Chase Drive on the steal of a burgundy Dodge Durango that was left running unattended at an Arvada town home complex just before 7:30 a.m.

Arvada police responded to the area within minutes and spotted the stolen vehicle.

Police followed the stolen SUV as the driver and passengers traveled through the city of Arvada. Police kept a constant visual on the stolen vehicle, but did not engage in a high-speed pursuit of the vehicle at any time.

When the suspects neared the 7700 block of W. 61 Avenue, four males exited the car and fled the scene on foot.

Arvada police officers brought all four males into custody a short time later. Three adult males and one juvenile male were taken into custody and held on a myriad of charges including auto theft.

The investigation is preliminary in nature and is on-going at this time.
