Westy Man Arrested After Valentine's Day Dv/kidnapping
A domestic violence incident led to a kidnapping in the early morning hours of Tuesday, February 14, 2006 in Arvada.
A Westminster woman, DOB: 10/27/1978, was at an Arvada home in the 5200 block of West 67th Avenue attending a party.
Just before 3:00 a.m., the victim's boyfriend came to the house and confronted the female victim. After allegedly assaulting her, the suspect, Dennis Godboldt, DOB: 12/22/82, also of Westminster, then forced the woman into a stolen 1990 Honda Accord and fled the area.
Witnesses to the domestic incident followed the suspect's vehicle into Westminster and called the Westminster Police Department to alert them of the situation.
After a pursuit of the suspect, the Westminster Police Department took two suspects into custody. (Please contact Officer T. Materas with the Westminster Police Department for details about the pursuit in their jurisdiction.)
Tony Lo, DOB: 7/1//1980, also of Westminster, was arrested by Westminster Police along with Godboldt.
Godboldt and Lo face a myriad of charges including second degree kidnapping, first degree assault on a peace officer (Westminster), domestic violence, aggravated motor vehicle theft and a variety of traffic violations.
The investigation is ongoing.
