Sex Offenders
The Arvada Police Department provides a free copy of the City's sex offender list to anyone who asks for the document.
The Arvada Police Department is required to release the following information regarding registered sex offenders:
- name
- address
- aliases of the registrant
- date of birth
- photograph, if requested and readily available
- Unlawful Sexual Behavior conviction(s) resulting in the registrant being required to register
Information concerning victims shall not be released.
A brief form must be completed prior to obtaining the list at the police department's Records Unit, located at 8101 Ralston Rd.

SEX OFFENDER LAWS IN COLORADO
The following persons (adults and juveniles) are required to register as sex offenders if they were:
- Convicted on or after July 1, 1991 in Colorado or any other state or jurisdiction of an unlawful sexual offense
- Released on or after July 1, 1991 from the department of corrections having served a sentence for an unlawful sexual offense
- On or after July 1, 1994, convicted of or received a deferred sentence in Colorado or any other state of an offense involving unlawful sexual behavior, and including criminal attempts, conspiracy, or solicitation, (generally considered to by ANY sex offense or other offense where the underlying factual basis includes sexual behavior.)
- Required to register in another state or jurisdiction for a sex offense, or another state or jurisdiction of an offense which requires registration on CO.
Sex offenders must register under all names they have ever used. Those sex offenders who live within the City of Arvada must register with the Arvada Police Department.
Sex offenders must re-register annually on their birth date. Any person convicted as an adult of the most serious sexual offense must register quarterly (every 90 days) for the remainder of their natural life:
If a sex offender fails to comply with ANY registration requirements, he/she may be charged with the criminal offense of Failure to Register As A Sex Offender, which may be charged as a felony.
