Public input is a vital component of a quality community recreation program. Apex PRD is seeking your thoughts and opinions on recent recommendations by the Vision 2020 Committee, which spent several months in 2012 evaluating and prioritizing elements of the district’s master plan.
The 28-member volunteer committee has recommended four projects as top priorities for the district’s long-term master plan, and the public is invited to learn about the projects and provide guidance and feedback. The district will host group-style meetings providing citizens an opportunity to comment. All are open to the public.
The first meeting, set for 6:30 pm February 5 at the Apex Field House, is geared toward groups with interest in the project proposals. Representatives from the Vision 2020 committee, youth sports associations, the City of Arvada, the Arvada Chamber of Commerce, the Arvada Urban Renewal Authority, and other interest groups will be invited to attend.
The other two meetings are geared toward the general community. They are scheduled for 1 pm Thursday, February 7 at the Community Recreation Center, 6842 Wadsworth Boulevard; and 6:30 pm Tuesday, February 12 at Indian Tree Golf Club, 7555 Wadsworth Boulevard.
