ARVADA, CO - The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities welcomes The Waybacks and The Infamous Stringdusters to the outdoor amphitheater on Friday, August 3 at 7:30 p.m.
Based in the San Francisco Bay area, The Waybacks are Stevie Coyle, James Nash, Warren Hood, Chuck Hamilton and Joe Kyle Jr. This eclectic quintet possesses dazzling instrumental chops and an absolute mastery of acoustic musical styles, and plays music that is wild, energetic and unpredictable, varying from newgrass and western swing to jug band and gypsy jazz. "The Waybacks…feature hot pickers who are destined to become revered new-acousticians, thanks to their individual solo styles and the band's novel and irreverent tenor" (Acoustic Guitar Magazine). With the band's stellar musicianship, wit and humor, along with an ever-lurking element of surprise, no destination is off limits and everyone's along for the ride!
The Infamous Stringdusters are poised to become one of the most talented and creative new bands on the bluegrass scene. Based in Nashville, TN, the band consists of six very unique, professional players (Andy Hall, Chris Eldridge, Chris Pandolfi, Jeremy Garrett, Jesse Cobb and Travis Book) who are steeped in the tradition of bluegrass vocal harmony as well as the progressive edge of instrumental music. The Stringdusters will dazzle you with their hot jam-band style improvisation, razor-sharp vocals and fiery instrumental abilities.
Tickets are $28 for reserved covered seats and $18 for general admission on the lawn. For tickets, call the Arvada Center box office at (720) 898-7200 or visit arvadacenter.org. All summer concerts are held rain or shine.
