Place your non-perishable donations by your mailbox by 9:00 a.m. on May 10. Your letter carrier or one of the Food Bank's volunteers will pick it up and deliver to the Food Bank.
This national effort is the nations' largest single day food drive. No surprise then, May 10 will be the single, largest food donation day for Arvada Community Food Bank, as well.
The generous letter carriers of Arvada's Main and Indian Tree postal branches donate 100% of the food collected to the Arvada Community Food Bank.
The summer months' food donations are usually lower than other times of the year. What is collected on May 10 alone, will help greatly to keep our shelves full. In past years, the drive has produced more than 50,000 pounds in a single day. Over the last two years, that has dropped off.
We are hoping that the Arvada community will come together on May 10 and reverse the trend... show the rest of the metro area that Arvadans do it better.
