Arvada PD's Community Response Impact Team Are September 2008 Employees of the Month

The City of Arvada has selected the police department's Community Response Impact Team as the September 2008 Employees of the Month.

The Community Response Team was chosen because they have been instrumental in bridging the gap between the Arvada community and city government.

Among their accomplishments, the Community Response Impact Team has created a presentation on Gangs and Gang Graffiti.  The program is used to teach other city employees what to look for in dealing with gangs and gang graffitti.  Being vigilant and proactive is key to controlling gang activity and this program has been very helpful and informative for various city departments.

The Community Response Impact Team, composed of Sgt. Michelle Moriarity, and Officers David Curtice, Josh Hotchkiss, Brian Thome, and Kevin Westbrook, were honored at a ceremony at City Hall on September 30, 2008.
