Arvada Police Investigate Bank Robbery

 (Arvada, CO) – The Arvada Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a bank robber. On Tuesday, June 24, 2014, the 

Image1suspect entered a Compass Bank located at 8008 Yarrow St. and robbed it at gunpoint.  After obtaining the money, the suspect was observed leaving the parking lot of a nearby King 

Soopers. The suspect traveled southbound on Wadsworth Blvd in a tan or gray metallic colored SUV with no rear license plate. 

 

The suspect is unknown in gender and described as possibly having light colored skin, approximately 5’4” to 5’8” in height. The suspect was wearing a black, baggie, long-sleeved hooded shirt/coat with a white ring around the neck, black colored pants, black colored shoes, large black and brown colored sunglasses and a purple scarf which covered his/her face.  The suspect appeared to be wearing a white colored glove on the left hand while holding the gun in the non-gloved right hand.  The suspect brought with him/her a black bag for the money, described by one teller as being a see-through or thin material such as a laundry bag.

The gun appeared to be a black, semiautomatic style handgun with white lettering on the slide of the weapon. The barrel had a round tip similar to a simulated pellet/BB style handgun.
