musical comedy with melodramatic zip set in the mythical

. Auditions are by appointment only and can be scheduled by calling 720-898-7200.
Needed are experienced performers, ages 18 and older, with strong vocal and acting abilities. Performers should also have strong dance abilities, skills with improvisation and comic timing, as well as the ability to play multiple characters. Five actors (ages 20 – 45) are needed, two men and three women, to play a total of 32 roles. Complete character descriptions can be found online at www.arvadacenter.org/auditions. This is an equity production although non-equity actors may audition. Some roles may be pre-cast.
Actors should prepare 16 to 32 bars of a song (though they should know the entire song) in the style of country western that shows off their voice and range. An accompanist will be provided. Actors should bring sheet music. No recorded or acappella auditions will be allowed. Actors should also be prepared to dance, although it will not be requested of all those auditioning. A headshot and a resume are required and Equity members must have a current ID card. No scripts are available.
Rehearsals for “Das Barbec
” begin on June 3. The show opens June
and runs through July 25, Tuesday through Saturday evenings with matinees on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays for a total of eight shows a week.
