Citizen Police Academy Alumni Solve Murder Mystery at Annual Dinner

On a dark and stormy night this past October, 2008 members of the Arvada Police Department's Citizen Police Academy Arvada Alumni (CPAAA) gathered for an evening of food, fun and forensics at the 8th annual Murder Mystery Dinner at the Indian Tree Golf Clubhouse. Fifty-one people met to socialize and practice their crime solving skills.

The group sharpened their wits with an elaborate murder scene designed by Sgt. Jeff Monzingo and fellow police employee, Judy Slivensky.  This year's crime scene asked the forensic teams to investigate a suspicious death to determine if the case was a suicide or murder.

Numerous door prizes were offered throughout the evening. Attendees remarked that they are looking forward to next year’s event!
