City of Arvada Honors Community Volunteers

Community volunteers were honored at the City of Arvada's Annual Volunteer Luncheon Saturday, September 29, at the Arvada Center.  City Manager Mark Deven and City Councilmembers recognized the many dedicated men and women who serve in various capacities throughout the community. Volunteers organize community festivals, generate sponsorship dollars, assist children at the Ralston House, detail police cars, greet patrons at the Arvada Center, help children learn to fish at the Arvada Reservoir,  and teach classes at Majestic View Nature Center.  Many serve on committees and provide critical input to the City Council to help improve the quality of life for all citizens of Arvada. Volunteers were thanked by Councilmember Rachel Zenzinger, representing City Council on behalf of Mayor Marc Williams. Zenzinger acknowledged that the City of Arvada could not provide the services citizens expect without the hard work and dedication of volunteers.
