ARVADA, CO – The Arvada Center is currently making plans to expand in order to enhance and improve its current programs and facilities. As part of this process, the Center will hold its second community meeting about the expansion process on Wednesday, July 24 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at the Center. As was true for the first meeting in May, the public is encouraged to attend the meeting and provide feedback about the process.
This meeting will give the public a second opportunity to express their wants and concerns in the presence of Fentress Bradburn, the architectural firm selected to assist with the master planning process. Attendees will also learn about the studies that the Arvada Center is conducting to confirm the specific needs for the expansion, along with the viability of the project. The opinions of community members are a valuable resource as the Center continues this planning process, and responses will be taken into consideration as the process moves forward. All interested parties are encouraged to attend.
This is the second meeting of four that will allow community members to review and provide input on each phase of the planning process. The Arvada Center has established a timeline which includes the development of a program plan, the subsequent review of the plan, the completion of a feasibility study and marketing assessment, and the development of a proposed funding package. The package will then be given to the Arvada City Council for review, and upon approval, Fentress Bradburn will embark on the schematic design and the preliminary design phases of the project. If the expansion is determined to be feasible, a newly expanded Arvada Center would debut in the spring of 2007.
