County-Wide Emergency Notification Call

County-wide emergency notification call planned for February 6, 2013. Jefferson County testing new CodeRed notification system.

Jefferson County emergency service agencies, including law enforcement, fire and EMS, are working together to test their new Emergency notification system.

On February 6, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., residents will receive a call from the CodeRED community notification system. This system, along with the CodeRED Weather Warning system, is used by these agencies to help disseminate information regarding critical incidents or severe weather occurring in Jefferson or Broomfield counties.

Residents and businesses are encouraged to visit the CodeRED registration web site at your911.net and enter their contact information, including additional phone numbers, SMS (text) and email addresses preferences. This is especially important for those addresses without a land line. Residents who have previously registered their phone numbers are encouraged to re-register to ensure the information is still accurate.

Residents wanting more information about the test notification call or with questions should contact their participating emergency service agency.
