(Arvada, CO) - Ring in 2012 by attending the next Councilor on Your Corner meeting set for Tuesday, Jan. 10, from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. at the Indian Tree Golf Club House, 7555 Wadsworth Blvd.
Join Arvada Mayor Pro Tem Rachel Zenzinger for an update on various City projects and other District 1 news and take the opportunity to ask community-related questions. The session is free and open to all members of the public.
Learn about "The Arvada Way" as Arvada Economic Development Director Hazel Hartbarger discusses how this hard-working group of City employees helps local businesses succeed while bringing new business to the community.
"Councilor on Your Corner is critical because it connects the community with the people who represent them beyond an email or a phone call," said Zenzinger.
While her Councilor on Your Corner series is designed to facilitate interaction between Arvada residents and their elected representative, Zenzinger is available to answer questions throughout the year via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Residents can also follow Zenzinger on Twitter (@Zenzinger_AtoZ) as she describes her activities and observations in connection with her duties as an elected official.
Participants of Zenzinger's Councilor on Your Corner are encouraged to log their own "tweets" live during the event and post them to hashtag #copolitics.
Zenzinger was elected in November 2009 to serve as a member of the Arvada City Council representing District 1, which is generally described as the northeast part of Arvada from approximately 72nd Avenue north to 88th Avenue, and from Sheridan Blvd. west to Kipling, and the area south of Standley Lake to Simms.
