Annual  4th of July Celebration

Lutz/Stenger Sports Complex

Entry at 58th Avenue and Oak Street

4:00 p.m. – end of fireworks display

Celebrate Independence Day in Arvada mingling with neighbors and friends, as the City of Arvada, Apex Park & Recreation District, Arvada Festivals Commission and KOOL105 provide free entertainment, a variety of food will be available for purchase! Fireworks cap off the evening, but don’t miss the incredible fun during daylight hours. Make plans to spend the day with us and enjoy the following activities:

  • Live music starting at 4:30 p.m.
  • KOOL105 Radio Booth
  • Military display vehicle
  • Kid’s Play Zone: all activities are FREE
  • Inflatables
  • Games
  • Human ‘Hamster’ balls
  • Face painting, balloon artists and crafts
  • New this year: IT'S ALL ABOUT ME!  This portion of the event is geared to those with some type of special needs whether it be down syndrome, autism, or physical and mental handicaps. There will be special activites that they will be able to participate in and we will also have a magician and face painter.  Booths will be available with different types of infomation about special needs and Jake's Toy Box will be on site for citizens to purchase and learn about different toys and games that will help with your special person. We want everyone to be able to enjoy the day and the fireworks. We are partnering with A Place 4 Me on the special needs portion so if you have any questions, you can direct them to A Place 4 Me at 720-771-1295 or call Brenda at 720-898-7403. We welcome companies to participate that specifically work with special needs people.
  • Quiet Zone

The festivities come to a spectacular finish with a grand fireworks display that lasts about 30 minutes with KOOL 105 simulcasting a musical medley.

Band line-up:

4:30 - 5:30     Swerve - modern country and classic rock

6:00 - 7:15     Latin Sol - Santana / Latin pop

7:45 - 9:00     Urban Dance Theory - pop / dance

Parking will be available with gates to the Lutz/Stenger Sports Complex opening at 3:00 p.m.  Handicapped parking is available in the lower Lutz parking lot and large, recreational vehicles will be directed to a parking area in the Stenger Soccer Complex. No parking will be allowed on Kipling. Parking, entry and all activities are FREE.

Please remember that no personal fireworks, alcohol or animals are permitted at the sports complex.  No overnight camping allowed.

There will be ATM machines available at this event. 

You can bring in your grills, but they must be PROPANE only.
