Hometown South Application Set for City Council June 3, 2013

The Hometown South application will be heard by City Council on June 3, 2013 in Council Chambers at 8101 Ralston Road, Arvada. This application went before the Planning Commission on April 9, 2013 and was approved with a 4-3 vote.

Citizens wishing to participate in the final public hearing regarding this application will be asked to follow safety protocols for this high-interest hearing. All citizens wishing to attend the public hearing will be asked to enter City Hall through the doors marked “Courts” located on the southeast side of the building facing Ammons Street. Police officers will be helping to direct traffic for parking in order to ease congestion throughout the area.

Citizens will be asked to sign-in as they enter the building and indicate whether or not they wish to speak during public comment. Seating for the public will be held in Council Chambers until the room meets its capacity limit of 110. Two additional overflow areas will be set up inside the building that will include television monitors for watching the live proceedings. At this time, there is an estimated 260 total public seats available in City Hall.

Individuals that do not wish to speak may come to City Hall to go on record as being for or against the proposed development at sign in and then may leave City Hall grounds to watch proceedings live on KATV, Channel 8 or on the internet.

Please be advised, as standard policy: signs, customized t-shirts used as billboards, noisemakers and placards are prohibited in Council Chambers. In addition, if you have previously submitted written comments, those comments will be made part of the public record without the need to read those comments during the public hearing.
