Sgt. AJ DeAndrea had nothing new to report for this meeting.
-Car Detailing Review: Gary Busch said they got a late start but Bob Vernetti was able to get the process going. Gary said he received some good suggestions for ways to streamline, eg. Station 2 is physically challenging and should be left to flexible volunteers only; combine Stations 3 & 4; 10 minute breaks every hour or so; knee pads & aprons; Station 4 to put the cards from CPAAA in each patrol car.
-2011 National Conference update: Nancy Mayer said there will be an Arvada meeting in a couple of weeks regarding the Opening & Closing Ceremonies. The lanyards are selling great (500 were ordered). Dot Wright, from the Arvada Chamber, will be meeting with Nancy and Mike regarding fundraising and her ideas and suggestions for the 2011 Conference. The cost of shirts is being pursued for anyone who wants to order one at the event.
Dave Taylor has pulled together a roster of 14 speakers and each will present their topic twice during the Conference. Jentry Kendall provided Nancy with a contact for the topic of "Violence in the Workplace".
On- line registration is targeted to be ready to go on 7/01/10. Nancy expressed a need for a Jeffco newsletter editor.
The Marriott is requiring a minimum room rental of 40-75-75-50 for the evenings of the event at the special rate of $119/night. $35,000 is the food and beverage commitment for the total Conference. Nancy has a vendor who will provide a copier at the event.
