Season Launch – Show Extends
ARVADA, CO – Due to strong advance ticket sales,
Colorado-based Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities has
extended the run of Miss Saigon though October 18, 2009. Tickets are on sale now.
To date, ticket sales for Miss Saigon have topped the $577,000
mark and this extension marks the fourth in the history of the Arvada Center. Three of which have all occurred in the past 13 months; Les Miserables
September 2008, Evita April 2009 and
now Miss Saigon. The first extension was Mame in December 1995.
“Our advantage in this continuing
period of uncertainty is that we are launching a new season on the heels of
historic growth,” Gene Sobczak, Executive Director of the Arvada Center.
Miss Saigon’s Director, the Arvada Center’s Artistic Producer Rod Lansberry
also directed last year’s record-breaking and award winning production, Les
Misérables. “Opening our season with a
musical has proven very effective for two consecutive seasons, “states Rod
production has been extended by six shows from October 13 to 18, Tuesday –
