NO PROOF OF INSURANCE CHARGE

If you received a ticket in the City of Arvada with a No Proof of Insurance violation, you will find all necessary information on the back, upper right-hand side of your yellow ticket or at the bottom of your electronic ticket.

A copy of your insurance card will not be accepted as proof of insurance

The following statement is what the Court requires for dismissal of this charge:

The Court requires you to contact your insurance agent and request a letter on insurance company letterhead be faxed to the Court at 720-898-7164 verifying that the person who received the ticket was fully insured to drive the vehicle identified on the ticket at the date and time of violation. The letter must confirm coverage for the vehicle that you were driving at the time of the violation in order for the charge to be dismissed.

Please note: If the vehicle you were driving is registered to another individual, the letter must state that you were authorized to drive that insured vehicle.

Upon receipt of this letter confirming valid insurance and receipt of the administrative fee, the charge will be dismissed. If you are charged with another violation on the ticket, you are required to appear in court. If you cannot provide proof of insurance, you will be required to enter a plea in court.
