If you received a ticket in the City of Arvada for a parking violation, the ticket will cite a specific offense. Parking tickets are in the form of an envelope and the fine amount is listed next to the violation. You will need to pay your fine on or before the due date specified near the bottom right-hand corner of the ticket.
“Parking” is defined in the Model Traffic Code as the standing of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, other than very briefly for the purpose of, and while actually engaged in, loading or unloading property or passengers. There are no warnings given for these violations.
AVOID A PARKING TICKET FOR:

HANDICAP PARKING – Parking a vehicle in a handicap parking space without a valid handicap placard is a violation carrying a minimum fine of $350.
PARKING WITHOUT A PERMIT - Parking a vehicle in neighborhoods and around high schools where a permit is required is a $50 fine.
