Responding to calls for service, attending neighborhood meetings and providing crime prevention information to citizens all play a large role in the department's patrol function.

Sector officers are assigned to patrol specific areas of the city while the department's Community Resource Officers work with specific neighborhoods to reduce crime and to improve the quality of life in those areas.

Each year, officers respond to more than 50,000 calls for service and initiate another 40,000 stops based on observed violations.

Members of the Patrol Bureau pride themselves on the quality of service provided to Arvada residents.
