Planning for Arvada's Future

New Comprehensive Plan Kicks Off with Community Meetings

Building a community takes many viewpoints. The City of Arvada wants to hear from you as we begin planning for the future through the creation of the new Comprehensive Plan. Community members have two initial opportunities to get involved as we kick off this project:

Wednesday, September 11, 2013

5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Arvada K-8 School

5751 Balsam Street

Thursday, September 12, 2013

5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

King of Glory Lutheran Church

10001 West 58th Avenue

Attending participants will learn more about issues facing the City of Arvada as well as be encouraged to share their vision for Arvada’s future. Each event will have the same format, so it is not necessary to attend both meetings.

The Comprehensive Plan establishes policies that have a direct bearing on the future of Arvada. The Comprehensive Plan will guide city-wide land use changes, investments in public facilities and services, and future regulations and City programs. The plan is being updated over the next year and there will be several opportunities for public participation during this process.

Additional information regarding the existing Comprehensive Plan and the update can be obtained atwww.arvadaplans.org or by contacting Kevin Nichols, Senior Planner at knichols@arvada.org or 303-619-5946.  Ideas can also be posted at www.arvadalistens.com.
