Plant-A-Tree Program Grows

The Plant A Tree program was designed to promote the planting of trees in Arvada parks and open spaces, as a rewarding and unique means of paying tribute, honoring, commemorating or celebrating special events or mile stones.

The donor chooses the type of tree from our list and pays the wholesale cost to the City. The forestry department then selects the tree, purchases it and on the day and time requested, will plant the tree in a local park of the donor's choice.

Whether the reason for the planting is intimate or public, this visible and vibrant reminder will provide shade and beauty for future generations to enjoy.

If you have a tree on your property that is no longer wanted or in the way of construction, please consider donating it to the City. All transplanting costs are paid for by the City and tree donations are tax deductible.

Transplanting seasons are in the spring and late fall, when trees are dormant. The forestry division will visit the site to determine if the tree or trees can be successfully transplanted to one of Arvada's park or open space areas.
