Arvada, CO – On Wednesday, November 7 the Arvada Police Department will recognize the officers and citizens making a difference in their community.
The Arvada Police Awards celebration will take place at 7 p.m. at the Black Box Theater, located inside the Arvada Center at 6901 Wadsworth Blvd.
“These awards are special because we recognize not only our officers who show exemplary service to their community, but also the citizens who made the decision to get involved and who, by doing so, made a difference,” said Police Chief Don Wick.
In addition, Colorado Attorney General John Suthers will present the Excellence in Law Enforcement Award. The prestigious Excellence in Law Enforcement Award recognizes exemplary service by an individual in Colorado law enforcement during that person’s career. The quality of the service performed by an individual is the determining factor. The award’s recipients will have exhibited extraordinary efforts of valor, crime prevention, investigative work, community outreach and other law enforcement functions.
