Wheat Ridge Recreation Center
4005 Kipling Street, Wheat Ridge, CO 80003
The Colorado Department of Transportation is leading a detailed transportation study of the I-70 and Kipling Street interchange. The purpose of the project is to reduce congestion, optimize operations, improve safety, and accommodate multimodal connections at the I-70 and Kipling Street (SH 391) interchange. The study will provide a plan for future improvements. The work is being closely coordinated with local agencies, communities, area businesses and residents to identify improvements that best meet the study goals and objectives.
More than 35 alternatives have been developed and analyzed during this study. Following two levels of screening, four action alternatives and one no-action alternative (for comparison) are moving forward into a third level of evaluation. The alternatives-evaluation completed to date will be presented at the December 4th public meeting.
