Arvada, CO – On Wednesday, May 14, the Arvada Police Department will recognize officers and citizens making a difference in our community.
The Spring 2014 Arvada Police Awards celebration will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium of Arvada West High School, located at 11595 Allendale Drive.
Among those being recognized are police officers, members of Westminster SWAT and citizens involved in the February 3 hostage situation in Arvada, including hostage Connor Scott.
The Arvada Police will also recognize 2nd graders from Arvada elementary schools who participated in the 6th Annual Police Officer Appreciation coloring contest.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend. The event is free, and coffee and desserts will be served immediately following the ceremony.
